One of the traditional “Bordeaux varietals”, Malbec has characteristics that fall somewhere between Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. A midseason ripener, it can bring very deep color, ample tannin, and a particular plum-like flavor component.

Fresh Hop Seminar
Paul is back with bags full of fresh, whole-cone hops straight from the Deschutes Brewery.
This will be a special sampling Fresh Squeezed IPA, Hop Henge XIPA, Chainbreaker White IPA, Mirror Pond Pale Ale, Black Butte Porter along-side the actual ingredients that they put into the beer!
Malt and fresh hops from the brewery will be on hand to deconstruct these beers into their main components to find the heart of flavor and aromas found in each.
If you are a home brewer, there just might be some fresh hops left over for you to put in your next batch!
